Thank you
nannyo 1. That WIS taught me to be tolerant, but that real life cannot always be such.
2. That my Dad losing his hearing and hence becoming more cut off from those who love him is an incredibly sad experience.
3. That I am capable of many, many things, but finding inspiration to strike out on my own has yet to come.
4. It is the small pleasures in life which mean so much, reading the papers, listening to music, cooking, all of which I have not sacrificed despite 1.9 children. The Xbox, football, pub, late nights and a lot of lie-ins have all gone, but I do not really miss them.
5. Despite all my protestations, I do not fail to smile, even at 6am, when a small voice shouts, “Wake Up Daddy, Cereal!”.
AND
1. Woodsmoke- outdoorsy, autumnal loveliness, favourite whiskies
2. Tomato plants- summer, warmth, gardens
3. Vanilla- fresh only, just a divine smell
4. Lilies- summer again, but also reminds me of L.
5. South of France / Spain- weird I know, but lots of herbs, sea, olives, heat, dust, all in one atmosphere. Reminds me of being a kid, of hols, of honeymoon, red wine, hot sticky days, warm evenings.
