I went to Savannah last weekend with Buster. I had a really amazing time. Here's a rundown:
Thursday: left for Savannah. We had a nice drive down there and arrived at about 8. We ate at Denny's, which was awesome. Then we went to bed.
Friday: Left the hotel at 12 to go to lunch at Clary's in downtown Savannah. We hit major traffic and didn't get there until 1. We ate and left at 2. Then we got ready for Tim and Summer's wedding and left a couple hours early to avoid any problems with traffic. Then it started raining like crazy. The road that we were going to take was blocked off, so we had to go around...but we got lost. Then we got turned around. We got to the wedding 10 minutes late, but luckily didn't miss anything. Summer was so beautiful, and Tim was so excited. Besides Buster and I, they have to be the cutest couple ever. They had a really good buffet, and a red velvet cake...mmmmm. I caught the bouquet, which was really pretty. Then we went to Tim's stepdad's beach house on Tybee. Really awesome place. Then we said goodbye and drove back to the hotel, where we passed out immediately.
Saturday: Tourism! Woo! First we went to River Street and walked around forever. I bought $33 of pralines to share with my mom. I bought some candles and a pretty bracelet. Then we went to Forsyth park to see the best fountain in the entire world. While we were walking through the park there was this little old lady that asked us if we wanted to walk through the garden because she had just opened the gate. So we walked through this garden in Forsyth park. It was so pretty! I have pictures. Then we walked out and thanked her and she asked us if we wanted to feed the birds with her. She had a huge flock of pigeons and squirrels around her and she had a huge bag of bread. So we fed the birds, and one jumped up on my arm and ate out of my hand. It's name was Tybee. The bird got full and walked up my arm and sat on my shoulder. Then it turned it's butt around and pooped down my back. I laughed pretty hard. The lady cleaned me up and we went on our way. I wasn't mad or anything. Just amused. We walked about a mile, going through three squares and enjoying the scenery. We walked back. Buster took me to the Pirate's House to eat dinner. SOOO good. Then we walked the the city marketplace and looked around. Then we drove back to the hotel, where I enjoyed the effects of a huge migraine.
Sunday: we packed up and ate at Backyard Burgers. Then we went home. We arrived in Carrollton at about 5 and I did homework and went to bed. The end.
Spanish will be over next Thursday. Then next Friday I start my last installment of Spanish. Woo.
Life is pretty good these days.
I'm helping Josh with his children's theatre production of School House Rock that he's directing. Then I'm going to Pride on Sunday. I can't wait!
I applied for Burrito Jones and Rue 21. I hope I get one of those. Wish me luck.
That's all for my update. I need to get started on more homework. Egger is awesome for letting me use his computer. And James is awesome for being my taxi.
Darling, save the last dance for me...
