Not the pastry shop; Avoria.

I take it you're new here?

Akane Higurashi; nice to meet you Allen!

Avoria's basically another dimension; I've been here so long I've forgotten how awkward it must be for new people. ^_^; It's basically a school and a city; it's not too bad once you learn your way around.

It's nice to meet you too, Akane-san!

I guess I can assume that people here are from other worlds? I haven't been to school in a while so this will be quite strange ^^;;

Yes; most of the people here are from other worlds; we all got pulled here randomly. As long as you're used to seeing strange things, you should be okay here.

The school's not too bad; most of the teachers are pretty lenient; they'd have to be with all the abnormalities that happen here....

Would it be strange for me to ask what world you're from?

Ahh~ okay. I'm not that great at academics...

Is there no way to get back?

Ah..I'm from Japan. Although it seems that a lot of us are from some Japan or other, so I'm not really sure anymore. All I know is that there isn't anyone from my world. What world are you from, Allen-san?

^_^ Neither am I. You should be able to get along fine; what grade would you be in?

No way to get back that any of us have found; a lot of us have been looking, but no luck. We're pretty much stuck here.

I'm from Britain, and I work as an exorcist!

Umm...I'm not sure. I'm 15, so what grade would that put me in?

So I've figured. I suppose I'll have to start looking for ways out. Thanks for all your help!

[ ooc; Though it's odd because he addresses people with Japanese honorifics XD;; ]

An exorcist? You mean like ghosts and stuff? Or like monsters?

Err....I'm 16, so you're probably in the grade below me. I think that's 10th, but I'm not positive. The ladies at reception might be of more help, though I wouldn't go to them unless it was absolutely necessary....

No problem, Allen-san! Let me know if you need any more help!

[[XD I was going to comment about how Akane wasn't using honorifics, but Allen was. DGM is such love...]]

Ahh...sort of! The evil spirits are called akuma, which are tortured souls forcefully resurrected from the dead, and we exorcists save their souls by using our innocence--weapons, in a sense.

I'll be sure to ask! Why...are the reception ladies scary

I'll be sure to bother you lots!

[ DGM is all sorts of silly ♥ ]

Eek. Doesn't sound like a very fun job. How is innocence a weapon? I mean, I can see how it'd be good to be innocent, but how would you use it as a weapon?

In a sense; there was a rumor going around earlier that they were vampires and could reverse their heads.....I've been staying far away from them.

^_^ I'll help as much as I can!

Innocence is a small object that gives exorcists various abilities. For example, my innocence is in my left arm, so I can "invocate" it to become a giant claw. Other exorcists can have it equipped as a weapon, such as a sword or boots. I have no idea why it's called innocence.
