Home sweet home ...

Ahhh, so good to be back, but it also was so good to be gone. :o)
Just got home from snowboarding ... had been at the mountain for almost three days. As I was riding up on the chairlifts I had a lot going through my mind ... first, the higher I got up the mountain the more I began to realize that I was afraid of heights, next I began thinking about how gorgeous it was up there, the snow, the trees, the sun (YES, the SUN!!!), then I began thinking about how I wish Dominic could see me now (in boarding clothes that aren't borrowed and fit well, if I must say so myself), I wish he could see me flying down the mountain, then I began to wonder if Matt and I would ever go boarding together; we've been saying we would for the past three years now. (ha) Mostly when I was up on the mountain I took note of the fact that I was not thinking all that much. I wasn't worrying about whether or not I looked fat, or about some dumb guy that doesn't like me back, or about how I'm late this month, or if I'm going to pass chemistry, or anything else like that. I just wasn't thinking, and for me, that's the best part of being on the mountain, I'm just there and that's all I think about.
Home feels good, to walk in and have my dog pounce on me, to see my car sitting in the garage, to know that I belong here, always ... it's just a good feeling.
