As much as I love Manhattan and my life up here. I still miss everyone in Wichita, my friends, yes, my family, and the town itself.
Manhattan has its perks, but still. Its freakin Wichita!
School is going good so far, testing out of 9 hours worth of Spanish leaves me with 6 hours that I take during the week, and that adds up to one class a day, I rock. I am done by 11 everyday.
Back to my nostalgia. My friends, I feel, from Wichita, dont know who I am anymore, I havent seen some of them since I left, some of them I no longer talk to. I remember having all these friendship issues with Ian way before I ever decided to come up here, now I dont even talk to him all that much anymore. I got him a job at Gumby's before I quit, and now he's got my position, he's married, he lives off campus... and for some reason, I dont really care.
I blame it on the transition from high school to college, that and I have my own group of friends now and a fraternity that keeps me super busy, I have a kickball tourney that we're doing with the sororities coming up next weekend, that should be fun. Homecoming is coming up, and that should be fun. I missed this house terribly, I was so bored last year with just working that I turned into a giant boozer. It wasnt fun.
Now I have 30 pounds that I need to work off, and I think its going away, thankfully (God bless the Rec)
Along those lines (of nostalgia, not of my fat ass) Props to Ilene for giving me John's cell phone number, I called him immediately after I got off the phone with her and shot the shit for quite awhile. I miss that kid especially, the summer before I left we were practically inseperable and I had some great summer memories of my friends before I moved, now, I talked to John for the first time in over a year, losing contact sucks.
I want to begin an email correspondance with anyone in Wichita, or from it, that I still talk to. I hardly ever talk on the phone as I am always not available. If you're down with that, my email address is miguel@k-state.edu
What else should I talk about... music. My god, my taste in music has shifted rather oddly. Since last fall alone, I have added:
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
Radiohead - Amnesiac

Leave me some love
