So tomorrow is the dedication of the bonfire memorial in College Station, TX. I really want to go. I miss feeling like a part of the Aggie community and I think this is an important day in Aggie history. Some of my fondest memories of going to Texas A&M since I was a little boy was Bonfire. I remember my dad taking us there when I was a little boy and walking around the massive stack of logs and feeling the unbelievable heat that was given off it when it was lit. I remember working on it when I was a freshman and all the fun and hardwork it took to build A&M's greatest tradition. My freshman year Bonfire also fell and I recall people debating the saftey of the event. Who would have figured 5 years later it would have killed 12 people.
Last night I just stayed home and relaxed. Katrina made some awesome food and her, joseph, goudie, and I ate and lounged all evening. I have been reading "Da Vinci Code" so I read till I fell asleep listening to the pounding of rain on our tin roof.
I woke up this morning to get to work early so I could take the money to the coffee stands I help out with. I also had to get gas this morning. The reason I am even mentioning this is b/c at the gas station I was pumping gas and had the pump going automatically when gas came pouring out of my car. The saftey switch on the pump didn't flip on! So I rushed over to stop the pump manually and in the process, gas poured all over my freaking hand. So all morning all I have been able to smell is gasoline. It is giving me a headache.
Well, I gotta run and start writing this UT student's that I mentor paper for his history of rock n' roll class. I am writing it for him on Canvas. I'll post the final project once I am done. hehehehe....
