Christmas 2008 - the aftermath

Wheee, so how was everyone's Christmas? *BOUNCE*

Ours was good times, except for some people being sick or in the U.S. for Christmas. It was quieter, that's for sure. But still good. Everyone seemed to like the presents I got them, and the few I was nervous about went over smashingly. So!

My sister and I received a joint "Santa" present which turned out to be a new computer. So we'll FINALLY be rid of this old 19GB piece of junk.

I also got a bunch of much-needed cash, some cool books ("nerd books" according to my sister - things like, The Evolution of Physics), and a really great sweater from my mom (which I've been wearing non-stop ever since I pulled it from the box). It has some cabling down the sides and from the neck to the cuffs which have the overall effect of visually slimming the line to my waist while broadening my (admittedly pathetic) shoulders. I LOVES.

We actually did Christmas crackers this year too, so I spent some time wandering around in a silly orange paper crown that reminded me of nothing but the first New Who Christmas special.

And Mom had an...interesting time locating her "Santa" present. I wasn't sure how to wrap her Pottery Barn gift certificate, so I opted instead to just place it on a random bookshelf in my grandparents' home, underneath a glass hourglass. Then I left a tiny envelope for her in the tree with a note telling her to, "find the timepiece."

My mother, amusingly, was smart enough not to look too hard for a clock. "You never know with Dan what this kind of thing could MEAN. His interpretations are frequently a bit strange. What does HE mean by, 'timepiece?'"

My sister: "FIND THE SUNDIAL."

(...*dies* I would actually do that.)

I haven't seen the Christmas special yet (I fell asleep!), so nobody spoil me! I'll watch it when I get home tonight.

So yes! All in all, a good Christmas.

Although, OMG I NEED A WANK SO BAD. Apologies if you view your friendslist in your own style and not lj's and can therefore see this, but I NEEDED to get that off my chest. (P.S. Why are you using your own style for the comments section? It's so hard to read everybody else's random style! Thank god for style=mine.) It's just one cockblock after another. I'm so tired this time of season that I keep falling asleep, and I had this massive leg cramp of doom yesterday that prevented anything more physically strenuous than limping and aghfbh13byf, GODDAMN. I keep thinking that I wish I knew what people with normal libidos feel like, but I must be crazy to think that. I don't like this feeling at all; I have no patience for it.

I WANTED AN ORGASM FOR CHRISTMAS, SANTA! :(

yay!, holidays
