On a complete whim within less than 24 hours of decidng to go, I charged 200 dollars ot my credit card and took off to Lagos, Portugal last weekend. It is easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I bunked with Rae and this other girl Elena, who has the best wordrobe and graciously let me borrow half her clothes. She probably couldn't stand seeing me in the Buzz t-shirt anymore, it was making her break out in hives. When I become rich and famous, I will take everyone I know to the southern coast of Portugal and we will swim, sunbathe and party for a whole month.
Ocotber 12th and I was soaking up gorgoeus sunshine and squwishing my toes in the sand of the Atlantic. My life is unreal.
The view from out hotel. For 200 american dollars I got three night in a hotel, meals, transportation, a couple mini-field trips, free drinks and a party the first night.
The beach I camped out on for four endless days.
Swimming! It was Alicia's 22nd birthday weekend, we had so much fun it should be illegal.
?
And roomie's out of control. She shimmied up this huge rock and jumped off it not once, but three times. Yaay birthdays!
The lovely ladies of Lagos. Even though i'm not looking too cute, but I was a little famished, sick and windswept. This was our last day.
We went to the very tip of Europe, as southwest as you can go. We watched the sunset and it was breathtaking. Erin loved it. I was almost moved ot tears.
A bunch of us at the end of the world.
That night we found the Lagos sign! From the left it's Daniel, Esmelda, me, Mike and Rae.
A group of 155 college kids went on this crazy Lagos trip. About 15 or so of us were form the Institute I go to. The bars were way fun, and played both Portugese and American music. We danced all night long and never wanted to stop. This is me and the roomie and our friend Brent doing some sort of...dance? We weren't sure. I think everyone at the bar gave him more than enough space. Heh.
Here's Josh from Boston, Brent, me and Daniel.
The crew. Blanca and Company! Rae, me, Alicia and Candice. This was our composed picutre before, and a few hours later were working the crowd dancing on the bar! You'll have to talk to me to see THOSE picutres.
Alright, I'll share one bar dancing picutre. Me, Esmelda, Candice and Erin.
We took a litle break and wooped it up ina nearby restaurant on Raggae night. Mike and I aren't the best dancers.
On the last night we wandered inot this bar called Inside Out. The people running the trip told us to never go there because it was horrible and dirty. We found out form locals that it's all a marketing ploy, and the trip people get perks if they reccomend us to go certian places. That bar was by far the most fun, and because we ventured there we all got free drinks! From left, Candice, Esmelda, me, Roberto and Erin!
Augusta is the love of my life. This woman has been taking care of me since day one, and I love her to pieces. She goes out more than I do, and has a personality like none I've ever seen. Though she speaks no english, we've gotten pretty good at charades and Spanish. Some nights I perfer to just stay in and watch movies with Augusta, and talk about life.
I'll leave you with Andrew and I looking pretty cute collapsed on the street after a long night out in Seville. We did out own version of "Boleton" that night and had a rediculous time.
Although still warm, it has rained here the last few days. Seville desperately needed it, I guess there had been a drought going on. It's bringing everyone down a little in spirit, I already miss being outside. I hear though Buffalo got two feet of snow dumped on them the weekend I was sitting on the beach, so i really can't say much. Snow or a little rain in Europe? I'd take the latter.
Pray for each other kids. Sometimes that's all we have to give.
