Puppies!
I've decided that one thing I absolutely cannot wait for in my future is the day Chuck and I get a pug! I love them! I have calendars of them but until the other day, had never actually played with a pug puppy before. Chuck and I were walking through the mall doing some shopping and as we normally do, we decided to go into the pet store. Lucky us, there were two chinese pugs waiting to be played with. We got the first one, who was slightly bug-eyed but had such a sweet personality. He loved Chuck! He would climb all the way up onto Chuck's chest and shoulder and lick his ears. He liked my lap, but anytime he got close to my ears he'd start to nibble. Then we got the other pug who was adorable! He looked so sweet and innocent in his cage, but he was wild! As soon as we put him down in the play area, he started biting anything he could get. He nipped my heel, tried to take a tiny chunk of Chuck's arm, and started eating our shopping bags. Needless to say, we didn't play with him for long. If only we could've combined his cute looks with the first one's personality, it would've been perfect. So that was absolutely awesome and just got me thinking more and more about how much I've missed having a dog around. I love babysitting becasue their little puppy loves me, and of course I have Coral who is just like my own dog....but I want a puppy!
It also didn't help that when walking through Target the other day, I realized they have a whole new line of dog products. Yes, there's a good chance I'm going to dress my puppy up and carry it around in a cute bag! There were doggie biscuits dipped in pink and white icing for girl puppies, and lots of pink collars and lambswool beds...and best of all, there was a dog carrier that looked like a bright pink alligator skin purse! I want it....I told Chuck that even though we don't have a dog yet, I might get the bag to have for later. Haha...he just laughed and said we'd better make sure we get a girl puppy then! I love it!
Anyway...so that's what I've been thinking about lately...hence the change of user pic. I'm also going to try and update more frequently...I changed the whole look of my page in hopes that it would re-spark my interests again. Aside from wanting a puppy, things are about the same. I'm still working part time and the boys are about the same. Some days they're better than others...I just keep consuming myself in my Harry Potter books. I'm re-reading them all before the new book comes out in less than 50 DAYS!!!! I pre-ordered it and am sooooo excited! And I've seen the trailor for the new movie...it looks awesome! So, aside from doing laundry and dishes, I keep myself busy by reading.
The next two weekends we're going to Indy again which will be lots of fun and then the weekend after, Chuck and I are goinh to stay with Aaron and Becca! We're so excited to just hang out and relax...going there is always a fun time and we can't wait! I'm glad that Chuck and I both have weekends free, except when Chuck wants to work extra on saturdays for some extra cash....its so nice being able to plan trips on a whim and not have to worry about the dragons schedule! His work is going well and I got subway and went downtown to visit him for lunch yesterday. We met at a gas station and then had a lovely picnic in the sunny lawn of a historis museum. It was a wonderful wawy to start my day.
I have to get going now...I have to get some stuff done and run to the bank before work at three....at least tomorrow is FRIDAY! I hope everyone is enjoying their summers!!!
