10 stitches
3 weeks ago I had a gingival graft done, because the gums below my 2 front bottom teeth were receding. The procedure went off without a hitch - wasn't even all that painful. A few stitches are still in, to be removed in another 2 weeks.
Monday night, I'm trying to move my dog because she's sleeping on the living room couch (a no-no)... after 2 unsuccessful attempts, I try 1 last time - she jumps up and bites / scratches (I don't know which) me on the face, putting a nice deep gash into my top lip. I somehow managed to avoid getting blood on the couch or carpet. After 3 hours in the ER and 5 novacaine injections, I now have sutures on both lips... awesome. The front of my mouth looks like a war zone! She also took out a good-sized chunk from the bottom of my top lip.
That's all I really had to say. I know it's not all that exciting.
