[Sigh] Just Great.

So, the other day, I scratched my right hand palm pretty good moving some brush, and just now putting a chain on a new professional grade chainsaw, I cut the dickens out of my finger (read as Dan Akroyd's Julia Child). It could be worse, really.

I haven't gotten a really close look, as it was bleeding enough that I  couldn't see the cut well. Compression all but stopped the bleeding, so I don't think it's too bad. If you can imagine what the chisel edge on a big professional chain saw might look like, that's the size of the cut. My main concern is that the blade is designed to scoop out wood. My finger is softer than wood. Hopefully it hasn't scooped terribly deep. I did have the presence of mind to move my hand in the reverse direction of the cut, backing it off, rather than jerking up.

Anyway, I'm making it sound worse than it really is. Really, the biggest problem is that with the bandage and the fact that I applied it fairly tightly, I have virtually no sensation of touch on the tip of my right index finder, which is making typing and mousing less than easy.
