Fast Changes

The snow is melting fast. We're acctually getting convective cumulus clouds now, sometimes producing showers in the afternoon. Temperatures are still not getting to 60, but the sun is intense.
The bright sun is a phenominon I always have difficulty explaining, it's particularly apparent in the spring, and even more so before the snow has melted off.

The tripod, http://www.nenanaakiceclassic.com/, hasn't gone out yet, but I can see a lot of water on the Tanana on my commute to work. Some pussy willows are sprouting, but no green yet, probably not for a while.

The water foul are returning, Last week I saw two swans on my way home from my dad's place one evening, they were flying in formation low across the road. This morning, I heard a bunch of canada geese down valley from my house. They were on the ground, somewhere (they make different sounds when they fly).

Last winter, the night of the first permanent snow, the dogs across the road got into a trash bag I had set out to put in the car. Now all that mess is begining to show itself. I've got a bit of yard cleaning to do.
