One of K's brothers has decided that the Right Thing To Do is buy a boat, moor it a convenient distance from his place of business, and live on the boat.
This triggered (as having a family member move always does) speculation about redecorating on the part of another family member-- the one with multiple storage lockers filled with carefully-acquired antique furniture. He is eager to provide the perfect pieces to complete the Look of everyone's domicile. I don't believe he's done this for a boat before. He seems to relish the challenge.
I have proposed that we go one step beyond. As T crams his furniture into E's cabin, a camera crew will shoot the proceedings. Then we will go to cable channels and use the footage to peddle the pilot for Shipshape with Captain Ted, in which, every week, somebody's boat is given a makeover.
"Ahoy there! Captain Ted is ready to come aboard, with a new look for your nautical home! This week, we see how adding a new chandelier to your galley can really make those colors pop! And we show you a new way to solve those perennial storage problems-- by adding convenient shelving to your bilge!"
