No problemo. I can help ya get 'em home, ya gotta watch out for the ice, too, this time of year. You'll be flat on your butt in a second!

But of course! Lead the way. [Always the gentleman. OK, usually. Sometimes. He'll grab a few other books as well.]

[Pauses.] You look familiar...do you teach at the high school?

[techno_mancer]

Yeah! You too, right? I'm Quinn Hatch, I teach calculus.

[beamiracle]

Yes, I teach business. I'm Lion Ushiromiya.

[techno_mancer]

Nice ta meet ya. Business, huh? 'S it as borin' as calculus?

[beamiracle]

Well, I was raised to be the successor to the head of my family, so I grew up learning how to do good business. So it's not so boring to me.

Yeah? Sounds like we're in similar situations. But I dunno if mine'll ever put me in charge, but they sure like to gimme all the work.

[beamiracle]

Oh, is that so?

Why won't they put you in charge, even though they make you work?

[techno_mancer]

Cuz my grandpa's still around. Let's just say, where I'm from, my type can be awfully long-lived. He's probably not goin' anywhere anytime soon.

[beamiracle]

Well, mine's still around, too. But his health has been failing lately, and I'm set to take over when I turn twenty.

Of course, I'm not sure if it'll happen that soon if I have to stay here...

[techno_mancer]

True, man. We got no idea how much time is passin' back home, right? If any. 'S okay, I'm not really in a rush to be in charge of anythin', personally.

Well, considering what goes on here, I think something like that may be the least of our worries...
