Hermes returned home, safe and sound about five a.m. the next morning. I seriously think he needs a playmate, someone to help him work off all the excess energy he has. When I lived with my brother, he went outside to chase the birds and squirrls because there was no one for him to play with. Then I moved in with The Boys. I didn't like the idea of him going outside because we lived on a fairly busy street and because there was no pet door like at my brothers house. I wasn't confident that Hermes could be heard over the traffic the way a dog could have been. However, Hermes never once tried to go outside the entire year I lived with the boys, and I think the reason is because he had another cat to play with. Problem is, I don't necessarily want another cat. I want a dog. However, if it's going to keep my Hermes safe, I'll do anything.
