Well, D.C. is absolutely the most amazing place I've ever been in my entire life. I've been working for one week now, and I already can't imagine leaving. I could provide lots of fun examples, but I don't think they're as exciting to other people as they are to me, but I went to the most amazing reception on the penthouse of this building that bordered the Capitol Complex, and I got to watch the Capitol light up as night fell, and it was phenomenol. There were several members of Congress at the reception, and I met so many fun people. I gave my first tour yesterday, and I also went to this really cool press conference and shook Nancy Pelosi's hand. She didn't really talk to me, but that's ok.
Alright, purpose of this entry:
So, I'm on my balcony. It's the only place I can pick up wi-fi. So, I just woke up (it was so good to sleep in for once), and I'm just sitting out here in a pair of athletic shorts with no shirt on. Then, this girl walks out on the balcony right beside me, and it's pretty close together, and it was just awkward because we looked at each other and didn't say anything. It was kind of comical. I know I suck at stories, and I can't really describe it, but it was just weird. Good thing I put on a pair of shorts though. I hope it's not her wi-fi that I'm borrowing. Well, I just hope she doesn't password protect it or anything. Well, I'm off to do all of the big tourist things today and acquaint myself with the city. Come visit.
