Welcome to the club

A few minutes before 5 am I was woken by one of my dogs' whimpers.  I thought he just wanted to go downstairs to investigate that beeping coming from the portable speaker in the kitchen.  But as he trotted toward the doors, I knew he wanted to go outside to either piss, poop, or vomit so I go upstairs to put on some clothes.  I came back downstairs and the smell of shit smacked me in the face; I knew I was too late.   At the foot of the stairwell lay a big pile of shit.   Not the way I wanted to start my morning, but, alas, I started it.  I have been trying to join the 5 am club, and I'll take this as my dog encouraging my endeavor.   I will try to continue waking up at 5am but need to learn what to do so early.  I googled some suggestions and like the 20-20-20 one.  Twenty minutes of meditation/ journaling, another twenty for vigorous exercise, and another for reading/ education, in no particular order.  Hopefully they don't poop inside but I won't mind if my dogs help me wake up at 5 am.  The little one is annoying me right now because she is a one-year-old puppy and won't leave me alone because she wants to play.  It can be cute but this little bitch is very vocal.  She whimpers, cries, complains, growls, and barks.  I have already gotten complaints about her, but yesterday my neighbor from across sort of complimented me about her: "I don't know what you have done, but they have gotten much quieter."  I think being home a lot more with the dogs and correcting her behavior has helped.  She is also getting older.

The winter sun is rising, and I'm gonna log off now to appreciate the pink and blue colors.
