i just learned about the stanford prison experiment a month ago in my summer psychology class. the experiment was to analyze how people react to authority and was stopped six days into it when it was suppose to last for two weeks because the student participants really fell into their roles of prison guards and prisoners and started becoming abusive and dehumanizing. that is exactly what happened to the librarians here at school. they were given the task of enforcing covid check ins since the re-opening and now they be acting like freaking border patrol and customs. i used to think they were really nice and helpful. now they are very stern, straightforward, and authoritative.
