the 7-11 guy again

So this morning I got up around 4:30 so I could get to school extra early to get the work done that I was going to do last night, but then a ditch got in the way of my plans. I ended up going to bed around 2:30, sleeping on the couch because I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to climb into my bed. Anyway, I left the room this morning at about 5:20. Being so early I thought it would be wise to get some coffee before driving to Elgin. So I went to 7-11, just hoping that the scary eyed guy would not be there. Well, he was, so I went in preparing myself to do some mental math when it came time to pay. The whole thing was actually very humerous though. I put my coffee down on the counter to pay for it and scary eyed guy just stands there and stares at me. Then he says, "Can I help you?" Ok, did I mention that I had the coffee on the counter and money out ready to pay? Yeah, but he didn't seem to know what I wanted. Um... Ok, so I said that I would like to buy this coffee that I had sitting in front of me on the counter. Then as usual he tried to short change me, three whole cents. I got them though. The whole time he was just looking at me like he really didn't know what I wanted. It was really kind of funny.
School today seemed to last forever, it could have been becaue I only slept for about one to two hours last night, or it could have been the fact that all day everyone was asking me what happened to my eye (yes, it turned into quite a nice little bruise). Oh well, I have big plans for the rest of the night. I plan to do about an hour of lesson planning/grading and then go to bed, hopefully by 9:00. Yeah, I lead quite the exciting life! Hey, if yesterday was exciting, I'll take boring any day!
