Ahhhh, it's good to be back!!!
Well, it's about time i update this journal. What an AWESOME vacation I had, and yet, it feels SOOOOO good to be home!!! It's amazing how much you miss the people you are with all the time. But, as for vacation.......WOW!!! Let's start with the end of finals. Well, pretty much they sucked really bad, but I made it through. Then, I drove home with Marya and I was able to go to a couple of Penquis Valley basketball games. Oh so much fun! I really miss high school a lot, and it was really good to see people from home. Then, December 28, I left for Mexico....WOW!!! WHAT AN AMAZING TRIP!!!!!! :-D It had a rough beginning, but midweek we fell right in love with the people down there! It went so quickly and it's hard transitioning from one culture to the other. Our construction crew built 3 houses (which I helped paint....but with me and my constructions skills....that's pretty much it), then we helped tie rebar (spelling??? and I'm not even sure what it is....once again my construction skills aren't the best!) on a cement roof, then the next day.....duh, duh, duhn....CONCRETE!!! HOLY CRAP!! I've never worked so hard in my life I don't think, but it was kind of fun! Our group was so awesome and we were able to help the Ohio group out a lot too. And, as always, I did VBS (Vacation Bible School) with the kids on the other days and I could just bring every single one of those kids back home with me. I can't wait to go again! I LOVE MEXICO!!! Anyway, that's a quick overview of my 10 day trip to Mexico. Now, I'm back at Gordon (and yes, I did drive all the way back here BY MYSELF!!!!! YIKES!) and having an awesome reunion partay with my girls. Can't wait to see what Semester #2 of my Gordon years has to come. I love my people from home, but oh did I miss my Gordon girls!! Party room 321, WUT, WUT?!?!?!?! AHHHHHH, IT'S GREAT TO BE BACK!!! :-D
