Campaign Manager Job
A friend of a friend is running for office in Somerville, and is looking for a campaign manager. Here are the details she's given me:
Here are some of my expectations of the campaign manager position. I can pay a range of $1000-$2000 per month, depending on the hours we work out together.
- Work 30-35 hours per week, with more in the 4 or so weeks before the election
- Make sure the campaign plan is operationalized
- Pull together steering committee every few weeks to plan strategy, respond to campaign updates
- Get to know Somerville politics and Ward 4 neighborhoods
- Keep a sense of humor!
- Oversee communications - including press releases, facebook, twitter, website
- Maintain the fundraising database, overall budget and money being spent.
- Orient and deploy volunteers
- Implment field plan, including number of voter IDs
- Develop GOTV plan
- Oversee and manage any interns
- Keep candidate on task and schedule
- Help plan printed materials, including mailings and signs, etc.
- Help manage endorsements
