Psychologist and Nobel Laureate Daniel Kahneman says millions of dollars won't buy you happiness, but a job that pays $60,000 a year might help. According to his studies, happiness levels in the US population increase with income up to the $60k mark. But, "above that, it's a flat line."
"A lack of money certainly buys you some misery. However, having a gread deal of money doesn't buy you experiential happiness," he said. The real trick to happiness, Kahneman said, is to spend time with people you like.
Sounds pretty accurate to me.
