The Day John met Paul

Sep 06, 2009 21:20

I promised to upload all the Beatles Bank Holiday Specials I recorded the last week. I did not record all those collections of Beatles covers, presentations of Beatles Songs because I am sure most of us have these already. Or at least most of it. Instead I recorded the interesting stuff...interviews, memories etc..

So here you are, my uploads for everyone to grab. Take whatever you want to have. I recommend The Beatles at the Beeb, In the beginning and of course The day John met Paul...but they are all worth a listen.

Let me know if you have any problems with this.

The Day John Met Paul
Featuring an interview with Sir Paul McCartney and the music and memories of John Lennon's group the Quarry Men, this programme re-creates the moment when John and Paul met for the first time at a Quarry Men gig at a sunny garden fete in Woolton, Liverpool on 6 July 1957.

Bigger Than Jesus
Another chance to hear the documentary that tells the story of John Lennon's infamous quote: "Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue about that. I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now. I don't know which will go first - rock 'n' roll or Christianity."

Have fun...I know you will. It is really awesome!

For all of you who wanted to download them from Beatlepics...my posting was rejected there because the pics weren't good enough for them. They told me:
Your post was rejected because this is a community with a focus on imgages. While we have been somewhat flexible about posts with a stronger focus on text and other media, the "legality" pictures you provided were tiny, low quality and easy to find in higher solutions. Please when posting something that is a bit off-topic include a reasonable sized picspam along with it in keeping the spirit of the community, otherwise please post to a more appropriate community.

I am sorry, but then my uploads are too good for beatlepics and I won' t post it there. *rants and is annoyed*
May I quote Goethe's Götz von Berlichingen-----Leckt mich am Arsch!
