I've been taking the death of my grandmother much harder than I expected to. With the death of Ed McMahon last week and then today Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson...it seems like bits of my childhood are chipping away.
Mandie was with me when I heard about Michael Jackson's death on the radio. I was listening to the country station on Sirius and they played a Vince Gill song- "Go rest high on that mountain" in honor of them. We were about to go into Barnes and Noble and I was just quiet and listened to the song. Since Mandie knows I'm not a great Vince Gill fan she was confused. I was reminded about the scene in Mr Holland's Opus when John Lennon died. Okay, so Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson aren't John Lennon but still.
