I FINALLY got my pixel_trade neighborhood somewhat populated, yay! I decided to jump on the Viking Death Squad bandwagon, except with a little twist... This is going to be a VDS-ISBI. Our founder, of course, is the lovely Bekah by simpurity. Bekah is a Grilled Cheese Sim with a LTW to eat 200 Grilled Cheese Sammiches, mmmm! She is a Virgo who likes men with red hair and cooking skills, but hates custom hair.

We spend 12,000 Simoleans on a Beach Lot so what's left is used on just the necessities
Bekah got settled into a nice lot right on the bay... Unfortunately she didn't really have much money left over for anything but the essentials. Sleeping in a tent on the beach is perfectly normal right?
Since she didn't have much to start off with, living on the beach offered a lot of other perks too... cheap entertainment
The foundation of the house had a nice view, hopefully she'll be able to put up some walls before winter sets in.
Bekah studies up on gourmet grilled cheese while she waits for the paper to arrive
Immediately after the paper arrives, Bekah gets her first visitor, Lydia Mace by xel_squirgle_ox . Too bad the only thing Lydia wants is to steal the paper
Bekah is displeased... I guess she won't be getting a job today... oh well, more time for her to prowl for a husband
A little later, the welcome wagon arrives consisting of Dionysus Randolph (quinctia) and Nuria Bacall (needlecream). She prepares her new visitors a delicious meal of grilled cheese
Nuria and Bekah get along swimmingly, too bad they're both straight
On her way out to the garbage can, she greets a walkby, Rosemary Creekmore (eien_herrison)
Bekah excuses herself from her guests and heads to Cup 'O Book bookstore a few blocks away to check out some pixel_trade prospects
At the chess table we have [sitting] Guillermo Valenzuela (music_simbol) and [standing] Hector (iliketoplaygod) and a random townie... even though I have a no townie respawn hack. It also looks like Nuria can be in two places at once...
Gibson Irving (jesstheex) carefully contemplates his snack choices
Bekah decides that Hector is hot and strikes up a conversation with him
Unfortunately they don't seem to see eye-to-eye about melty cheese goodness despite their 2 bolts of chemistry
While Bekah is chatting with Hector, Mina Molina (simtopi) tries unsuccessfully to hug Gibson while Pumi Dei (maranatah) checks out the snack machine offerings
Bekah excuses herself from the conversation with Hector only to get sidetracked by Pepper Jambon (sea_serpent). Jade Agrona (xel_squirgle_ox) joins the fray at the vending machines
Bekah's next stop is the park down the street where she stops to smell the flowers while eligible townies filter in
Unfortunately for Bekah, all the visitors to the park that evening seem to be female. Bekah strikes up a conversation with Elaine Charmichael (skittlebox)
and shoots some hoops with Quail (katu)
No men... so bored... can we go home now?
I guess so Bekah, tomorrow is another day...

Tuesday Challenge Roll:

Well this isn't too hard of a hit only 590 simoleans...
Since she's all out of money... the next morning Bekah grabs the paper immediately after it arrives and looks for a job
She takes the highest paid position available that day... a job in the adventure career. Since she doesn't have to be at work until the next day, she decides to try visiting some more community lots to try and meet some men
On her way out, she runs into Echo Heart (radiationpoison). Echo approves of Grilled cheese, but unfortunately there is no chemistry between them
At the Far East Exchange there are several rip-roaring games of Mah Jong taking place. Here we have [clockwise from left] Luke Grimm (xel_squirgle_ox), Hadley Doyle (jesstheex), Bo (wanderingjasper), Frederico (brilliantcat), and [standing] Corbett Markov (skittlebox)
At the second table are Edvard (iliketoplaygod) and Quail (katu) in her everyday clothes
Bekah decides that Corbett is the hottest man in the place and strikes up a conversation with him. Another strike out, Corbett and Bekah only have 1 bolt of chemistry. Pax (wanderingjasper) joins Quail and Edvard at the Mah Jong table.
Despite their low attraction, Corbett makes sure that he hooks Bekah up with a raise at work... Good she needs all she can get after that internet scammer took her for all of her money
Dejected by the lack of prospects, Bekah begins to head back home... on her way out she meets Alex Storm (kingmike1224), but finds him repulsive [which saddens me because I think he's adorable, and he has elf ears!]
The next day while Bekah is at work, Sharmaine Posey (stakeit_uk) steals the newspaper
Bekah returns from work with a promotion, the salary + bonus helps a little with her financial situation
Bekah doesn't even bother to change before she heads back to the park, there she meets [left] Christian Tampio (johqliini) and [right] Nicholas Rowan (simsforaranya) but doesn't have any luck in the chemistry department with either one
Asmodea Lee-Harvey and Abe McKay (both by will_o_whisper) enjoy the firedancer show
Bekah was feeling desperate, so she tried to chat with Gibson about Grilled cheese, jesstheex wasn't kidding, he really doesn't like people, or grilled cheese
She decides to cut her losses again and head home for the evening
The next night at work, Bekah earns another promotion, slowly regaining her bank account
To celebrate, Bekah invites Hector over... it's late in the week and she [and I] are desperate. Hector is her highest chemistry match out of all eligible pixel_trade sims she has met so far, can't you tell from the way she greets him?
Hector certainly doesn't mind the greeting and agrees to move in, bringing a nice hefty amount of cash with him
he also brought a bagful of goodies with him [I know I'm not allowed to look at his wants, fears or motives, but there's nothing in the ISBI rules that says you can't clean out a spouses backpack]
Bekah wastes no time, after they are done erecting walls and wallpapering, she pops the question
Then they immediately make it official, both Bekah and Hector are pleased... Hector has no idea what he's in for... poor guy
Post marriage celebrate and hopefully conception of Generation 2
Congrats Bekah, you finally found yourself a man... and... CHIMES!
it's nice to see Bekah happy after so much searching, I just hope Hector can adjust to a strict diet of Grilled Cheese
He seems to be quite functional so far, definitely a neatnik... no need for a maid... at least until Hector starts to lose it
Hector spends the day enjoying the waves crashing on the shore
He still seems to have an aversion to Grilled Cheese and selects chips over the plates of Grilled Cheese leftovers in the fridge
Bekah receives a chance card that afternoon ::crosses fingers::
Success! Too bad it's not a cash reward
Bekah doesn't come home with a promotion that evening, but she does come home with another welcome surprise, the first signs of pregnancy!
Instead of checking in on his pregnant wife, Hector builds a sandcastle instead
After she cleans herself up a bit she interrupts Hector for some cuddle time
Falling asleep in her Grilled Cheese, yup, Bekah is definitely pregnant
Later that evening, Bekah gets her first pop
Hector is very pleased to hear about the pending spawn
He's also pleased that Bekah will be around for 3 days of maternity time to be able to cook for him and he won't have to fend for himself
2 days pass without event and Bekah goes into labor as she is getting ready to prepare a Grilled Cheese breakfast, Hector is confused as to what is going on
A pretty little girl with Hector's skin, blue eyes, and brown hair is born, he name is Achsa [since Bekah is a hebrew name, I've decided to go with world religions as my naming scheme, first up is Old Testament names]
Hector is pleased with his little baby girl, but he's not quite sure what to do about the green cloud of stink that surrounds her... typical uncontrollable caregiver I suppose.
Next time: A new challenge, Achsa ages into a toddler, maybe some ISBI pandemonium will ensue... I haven't played it yet so we shall see!
