Last night huffdaddyatl, altversaguy and I blew off trivia to go with Dannie, George, Phredd! and the Southern Bears to one of the haunted attractions in the area. Most of us met up at Woofs and I drove since I could get 5 in my car and Huffdaddyatl didn't drive the first sign of the apocalypse - minvan. Had several really good special effects, though there was one or two places which really could have been better. These attraction had two different tours the first one focusing on the macabre - having the supernatural and classic horror genre, the second focusing more on the sinister - the deranged, psychopath haute horror. We went through both attractions and drove back into town so I could drop off everyone back at Woofs to get their cars and then I headed back to the condo.
Having gone through the attractions, it got me longing for the days I worked at the Haunted Hotel of Olde Greensborough, doing make-up, setting up the attractions and acting as a guide through the attractions. Now when I go back to downtown Greensboro I sometimes drive by where we held the attraction and wistfully think back to those days and the fun we all had.
