In support of Noodlesandbeef
A few days ago NoodlesandBeef decided to close down the FAP (Furry Art Pile) due to reasons which he doesn't need to give nor justify. Then Google placed auto-links to his site just to tease him. When he announced his decision you would have thought he had just announced he kicked kittens and boiled puppies with the drama which ensued. The comments which streamed in generating so many responses (at last count 267) that you have multiple pages just to list them.
Today I checked out the XKCD.COM submission (see above) and was another furrie related item. You'd think that everyone and their pets were of this mindset. Where's a psychoanalyst when you need one.
Very few seem to understand the time to keep a site running and there are times when you just dread having to work on something which at one time was fun but now feels more like an unpaid, and usually unappreciated, job. My father has wanted me to open a restaurant for a long time and he doesn't seem to understand I enjoy cooking, but I don't want to do it for a living. If I had to cook everyday for masses of people, cooking would quickly lose the joy and become a chore. People evolve, so should the furries.
