John knows that his "Good job, Rodney," was partly that he was soooo relived he didn't have to deliver the baby, because he was worried about that for weeks. Especially after the whole quarantine thing. Her belly got so big. And it moved. Sometimes he could see it moving and wow, too many sci-fi movies. And he's The Guy, you know? He'd do anything for his team and they know it.
He saw a video, once, when Nancy's sister had her first and...well...he's just glad that he and Nancy never had kids, because she made him promise that he would be there and yes, she would hold it until he got back from where ever he went when he was flying and wow, birth was...something that big shouldn't...and you should definitely not put a video camera where a woman was doing that. That was just...not right.
Hardened war veteran or not, John's pretty sure he would have passed out.
I mean, he loves the TJ and all, but...::he shudders:: He's just really glad that he didn't have to...really ...to him? Teyla doesn't really have lady bits anymore, as far as he's concerned. Of course she has lady bits, but not to him. She has....Team Bits. She's Team. And as such...no bits. Well, Rodney has bits, but that's different. He really should stop explaining this to himself and just smell TJ's little head. It smells pretty awesome. He doesn't know why and he doesn't care.
But later? He might have to just show Rodney all over again just. how. very. much. he appreciates in this one case, not being The Guy.
