In the interconnectedness of all things Nova Scotia, I went to a BBQ hosted by one of my market people and hung out with the guy who waits at my bus stop.

I got to play a few rounds of washer toss (think horseshoes, but instead of tossing at a post, you're trying to get the washers in a pipe inside a wooden box) and won one of the games, whoo-hoo.

I was on a corporate retreat all day Friday and Saturday morning at Oak Island Resort, which was very nice. Every time I get a chance to put a face to someone from one of the other offices, it helps me feel better when I get someone on the phone. I can't give you too many details, as they asked us to keep what happened at Oak Island on Oak Island, but as far as I can tell no one did anything too wild. I danced up a storm, which I hadn't expected (I was guessing that the music would be all crap, but there was a good balance) The only thing that sucked about the weekend was that I couldn't go to the market, I didn't get home until well after the market closed.

Speaking of the market, Getaway farms introduced a new product a few weeks ago, beef bacon. They take the brisket and smoke it the same way you would do regular bacon. Delicious. I made BLTs with it, and they were great.
