I bought my twin beads from Scarabeads at etsy. This shop is from Czech Republic. There are many other shops at etsy that sell twins. I believe it's not hard to find. Just choose your favorite shop or local shop.

1.

On a comfortable length of thread, pick up four 8/0s. Pass through all the beads twice and tie double knot. Exit your thread at the next 8/0 (red arrow).

Pick up 11/0, twin, 11/0, twin, 11/0 and pass through 8/0 (red arrow).

2.

Pass through the next 8/0 (red arrow).

Pick up 11/0, twin, 11/0 and twin. Pass through the first 11/0 from the last step (blue arrow) and 8/0 (red arrow).

3.

This is the same as previous step. Pass through the next 8/0 (red arrow).

Pick up 11/0, twin, 11/0 and twin. Pass through the first 11/0 from the last step (blue arrow) and 8/0 (red arrow).

4.

Pass through the next 8/0 (red arrow) and 11/0 (blue arrow).

5.

Pick up twin, 11/0 and twin. Pass through the first 11/0 from the last step (red arrow).

Pass through the next 8/0, 11/0. then through the beads we just added (twin, 11/0 and twin). Pass through the other hole of the last twin (blue arrow).

6.

Pick up two twins and pass through the next twin (red arrow).

Pick up twin and pass through the next twin (blue arrow).

7.

Repeat step 6 all around. When you pull your thread, you should get this.

Exit your thread at the second twin from the first two we added at the start of this round. Pass through the next hole (red arrow).

8.

Pick up twin and pass through the next twin (red arrow).

Pick up 11/0 and twin. Pass through the next twin (blue arrow).

Pick up twin and 11/0. Pass through the next twin (green arrow).

9.

Repeat step 8 all around with good tension. Exit your thread at the first twin we added (red arrow).

10.

Pass through the next twin (red arrow). Pass through the other hole of the same twin and exit at the next twin (blue arrow).

11.

Pick up three 15/0s. Skip the next twin. Pass through the following twin (red arrow).

Pick up three 15/0s. Skip the next twin. Pass through the following two twins (blue arrow).

12.

Repeat step 11 all around. You should get this. Exit your thread at the middle 15/0 from the first arc (red arrow).

13.

Pick up 15/0, 11/0 and 15/0. Pass through the middle 15/0 of the next arc (red arrow). Use tight tension

14.

Pick up 15/0, crystal 3mm. and 15/0. Pass through the middle 15/0 of the next arc (red arrow).

15.

Repeat step 13 - 14 all around. Before you complete the round, put the rivoli in, face up. Try to cover the edge of the rivoli with all the 11/0 and crystal arcs.

Exit your thread at the 11/0 (red arrow).

16.

Pick up crystal 3mm and pass through crystal 3mm at the next arc (red arrow).

Pick up crystal 3mm and pass through 11/0 at the next arc (blue arrow).

Repeat this step all around. Pass through all the beads again for extra security. Exit your thread at the middle crystal 3mm (red arrow).

17.

Pass your thread to the next two 15/0s (red arrow).

18.

Pass through the next 15/0 and twin. Pass through the other hole of the same twin (red arrow).

Pass through the next twin and exit at the 11/0 (blue arrow).

19.

Pick up 15/0, 11/0 and 15/0. Pass through the twin (red arrow).

Pick up 15/0, 11/0 and 15/0. Pass through 11/0 (blue arrow).

20.

Pass through the outside hole of the next twin (red arrow). Pick up twin and pass through the next twin (blue arrow).

Pass through 11/0 (green arrow).

21.

Repeat step 19 and 20 all around. But after you add the last twin and pass through the next twin, just pass through the other hole of the same twin instead of 11/0.

22.

Pick up three 15/0s, skip the next twin and pass through the following twin (red arrow).

23.

Pass through the beads and exit at the twin (red arrow). You can either go the straight route, pass through 11/0, three twins and 11/0 or you can go to the bottom route through 11/0s, 15/0s and twin (which is easier).

Pick up three 15/0s, skip the next twin and pass through the following twin (blue arrow).

24.

Repeat adding this little arcs on four corners. You should get this. Exit at the middle 15/0 of the first arc (red arrow).

25.

Pick up crystal 3mm. and pass through the middle 15/0 under the crystal (red arrow).

26.

Pass through the beads and exit at the next middle 15/0 (red arrow). Again, you can either pass at the top route through the next 15/0, crystal and 15/0s ,or through the bottom route through 15/0, two twins and 15/0. For me, the top route is easier.

27.

Sorry for the blurry pic.

Pick up crystal 3mm. Pass through the middle 15/0 of the arc (red arrow).

Pick up crystal 3mm. Pass through the middle 15/0 (blue arrow).

28.

Repeat step 26 and 27 to add two crystals at each corner. You should get this.

Almost finish!

29.

This is how I made the bail for my pendant. You can cut the new thread or use the remaining thread (if you still have thread left). Exit your thread at the top hole of the twin. Pick up six (or seven if you want) 11/0s. Pass through the same twin we started. Pass through all 11/0s again and exit at the first 11/0.

Pick up 15/0 and pass through the next 11/0. Continue adding 15/0 between 11/0 all around.

Finish now!

I hope it's not too confusing! Just comment if you have any question. Did I ever mention that you can use your facebook account to comment with LiveJournal? lol

Happy beading!
