sometimes, you just gotta do it yourself

This weekend is my birthday.  It's really sneaking up on me this year.  I'm so consumed with planning for the 12th of every month, that I don't know what else happens the rest of it.  (the 12th is my "surgiversary").

My family started asking me what they should do about birthday cake.  Furthest thing from my mind.  I don't know if I can tolerate eating a piece of cake.  I work with the assumption that so much sugar will make me sick.  I usually have a BITE of whatever sugary thing that tempts me.  (I'm usually pretty disappointed by the bite... but this weekend a chocolate Coldstone Creamery cake was highly recomendable!!)

Z and I thought about ordering a cake from a nearby bakery that specializing in sugar-free, no sugar added and gluten free baked goods.  Seemed like the best thing to do.  Then, after the Coldstone cake, I decided to go a different route.

Yesterday I called up and ordered a no sugar added ice cream cake from Lizzy's.  Their NSA ice cream is super yummy (even to those who don't usually eat NSA ice cream).  it will still have chocolate crunchies in the middle.  It will say "Happy Birthday Sue"

What do i want for my birthday?  Plastic Surgery.  Preferably pain free and risk free.  HA!  It's hard for people to buy me clothes.... I change sizes all the time.  I bought a shirt in medium the other day.  MEDIUM?  must just be a weird shirt, all my others are large.  I know my mom will probably give me money.  she couldn't pick out clothes for me before - now I'm a moving target.  Another thing best left to my own doing.

This is not me complaining.  I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have some control over how i'm eating and how MUCH i'm eating.  a slice of cheese here, a few almonds there.
