flooding
yeah, yeah, everyone's got flooding today. the Tex-Mex border, Florida's underwater anyway...but here in the Boston area, more specifically, the parking lot where I work, we are flooded. there are only 8 usable parking spaces left that aren't in a flood zone. I'm the first one in the building. water is lapping up over the bottom stair to get up to the door. I bought rain boots a few weeks back. best purchase ever. I saved a woman in beautiful high=heeled sandals from walking into 8 inches of hazardous water to get to get car. I took her keys and pulled it to safety. We share the lot with the facilities/maintenance people...so there are the occasional screws, nails, bolts floating in the water...plus the water rushes by the garbage dumpsters before it begins to pool in the center. UGH. Yesterday they let us go early due to the flood and the forecast for more rain. Today we've started out flooded with more rain predicted. OY
