I am a heavy consumer of nonfiction. As such, it ought to be no surprise that Stuff White People Like is tops on my list of "required" recreational reading. Well, tops enough that I might check it once a month, which is saying something, when you consider what little time I allow myself for recreational reading. Bits of the blog are not entirely

* Please, please, please see Erik Schneider from Quality Pictures. Chris Verene and Jason Fulford are both represented there, and QP is just all-around awesome. Of all the venues listed, this would be the place to show your work.
* Natasha Eagan. She has written a very intelligent essay about a northwest photographer that I am pushing heavily towards getting seen here in the South. Mutual aesthetic agreement could happen here.
* I really like Madeline Yale. Though she has a strong grounding in history, she is serious about contemporary photography.
I feel pretty "meh" about Brooks. To me, there's too much emphasis on formalism and taking a pretty picture. Still, if you want that feedback, by all means, have at it!
As for the rest of the Atlanta crew, just remember the old saw about how people never think it's possible to find genius in their own back yard. Brian Clamp could be good, as could Debra Klomp Ching (neither of whom are locals). Julian's emphasis is formalist perfection, preferably with social significance, Anna at Jackson doesn't show local photographers unless they are models who have already been represented by Gagosian, and your work won't be commercial enough for Danielle Place. I believe Cooney favors figurative work, and Sue Brisk is glossy photojournalist/travel-pretty heavy. Carol McCusker is Sue Brisk with a PhD (and therefore preferable to Brisk, heh.).
Hope that helps, and best of luck!

DEFINITELY see Erik! He'll probably be relieved to see your stuff! Don't know if Nancy or Connie knows him, but it would be great for you to get some west coast representation, and you'd be in excellent company.
You know you'll be fine, but I know better than to tell you not to freak out about it. Feel free to similarly (though uselessly) reassure me the next time Robert Storr comes to visit, lol!
