i had my first session of
go-go robics today, and shit. i thought my prior dance career would have helped me, but i guess i'm out of touch with that side of myself. i had a little trouble in the beginning, but it's pretty fun, and it's a good workout for the non-workout oriented. i've been meaning to be more active for a while, cause i work on the 4th floor and i think it would be nicer to not be out of breath after climbing the stairs. i used to be so active just by default. now, in my old age, i don't go to shows (so there's like no dancing), i don't walk anywhere just for the hell of it, and i like being in my house.
today was a day off, but it was fairly dull. i didn't get much done.
i'm rereading 'cruddy' by lynda barry, and it's a really great book. i like coming back to books and having them be just as good as i remember them. i read it in the tub, on the toilet, when i'm outside smoking, and when there's nothing on tv.
speaking of which, i need some good books to read. i have incredible access to a lot of books, and i need some suggestions. so what have you read that you loved? tell me tell me.
