Okay, so you know how they have that video "Girls Gone Wild!"? I think they now need to make a "Christians Gone Crazy!" one too, following the crazy, psycho teenagers who come to Disney every year for "Night of Joy". If you're reading this blog, you're most likely one of my friends who works for Disney, so I really don't have to explain night of joy. But, since i'm most likely going to be copying and pasting this into my Livejournal, i'll explain. Night of Joy is 2 nights at the Magic Kingdom every year filled with Christian music of all sorts. You would think that it would be a very peaceful event, heh, NO. Night of Joy is reported to be WORSE than "Grad Night" when they let all the seniors out into the parks. Yesterday, I finally believed it.
The day before (Friday) I was Prince John in Town Square, things got a little busy and some of the kids were a little wild, but I finished all of my sets and went home. Yesterday was a different story. Once again I was Prince John in Town Square, and we have 5 sets before lunch and 2 sets afterward. Right as I got back from the best lunch break ever (I will talk about that more later...) I walked in the breakroom and my friend David who always does Friar Tuck was in his street clothes and was FUMING. He ran out into the park to go find some kid who climbed up on the ledge near the fire house and jumped onto him. So that was interesting. I went out onto my 4:40 set, but I felt like I was in the ghetto. I was constantly looking around, examining my surroundings and watching my back to make sure no one was sneaking up on me. So, I got back inside after that set, and everyone was packing up and leaving, and they all still had one set left! The one King Louie looked at me and said "The rest of the PM sets in Town Square are DOWN" I was like "What?? Why??" apparently there had been 4, yes FOUR character attacks in 20 minutes. 3 on our side and one at the expo hall across the street. Because our safety was in danger, Scott our manager made the ballsy call of downing all the sets. We all wrote him Guest Service Fanatic cards since that was really great of him to do. So, that's pretty much what happened yesterday.
Oh yeah my awesome lunch break! My sister and Ricky came to the parks to see me and we went to Pecos Bill for lunch where I had AWESOME cheese fries, and then we went to the Enchanted Grove where I had my first Strawberry Swirl which was TO DIE FOR. It's Vanilla Yogurt with Strawberry Sherbet swirled into it...ugh SO GOOD. It definitely ranks up there with the Dole Whips. Then, as we were eating our Strawberry Swirls, we heard a Gospel Choir singing across the way in the Tomorrowland Quick Service Area, and we walked in as they were singing "Oh Happy Day" which is my FAVORITE Gospel song. So just hearing them sing made me really happy on my lunch, especially with all the stuff that was happening (even though it happened after my lunch, it was still a nice lunch break!).
So that was my day yesterday...Today i'm going to Art Systems to get crap for my art class but before that i'm going to lunch with Ashley which should be fun since I haven't hung out with her in god knows how long. But first, i'm going to wash my car since it's going to be GORGEOUS out today and tomorrow!
Until Later!
