Friends - Season 2

Jun 16, 2004 17:10

This is the second installment of my 4-part review of the people on my friend's list and what they and/or their journals mean to me. The list is of course alphabetical, and part one were the first 30 names, from AJAX to FIVEBYFIVE. For obvious reasons of time, I am not making the LJ names active links. You will have to find them yourselves, if you are interested. I hope you are, cuz I got a GREAT assortment of LJ Friends, if I do say so myself.

Here are the next 30....

Forcemajeure - New friend. Amazing. Period. Go to his journal. Read 4 random entries. Then try to decide if you want to BE him more or WITH him more. Contemplate that he is only now approaching 20 years old and find yourself wondering what your life would look like if you were his age and met when you were both single. I’ve met a lot of legitimate boy-geniuses in my time…most are tragically mal-adjusted when they hit 20. This is not one of those run of the mill geniuses. My jaw literally drops as I read his journal.

Gabe1984tx - Just an all around neat guy who approaches his life reflectively with simple eyes. It is very refreshing. And his assortment of icons are NOT to be missed.

Garyjr - To say that Gary is unique would be a huge understatement. To say that he is beautiful would be the same. But he takes both with a grain of salt, accepting the former without any jadedness or self-adulation, and desperately but classfully trying to accept the latter in his own mind. I think I have seen him grow so much in the last year and I truly wish him times filled with laughter and warmed by the love of good people.

Gaystitchboi - don’t really see much from this cat outside of the clear reminders about the local gay days here at Disneyland in So Cal. Would be cool to meet him sometime I think.

Gnrationfo - a new friend. Gay rock-a-billy boy in L.A. who intrigues me. I hope to get more of a sense of him soon.

Gopboi - Just a good ol conservative like myself. I like him quite a bit and only hope that he experiences a little less golf with the family and a little more sin and debauchery before he gets to be my age.

Haixo - young kid about an away from me. He doesn’t post very often at all, but I find him intriguing and look forward to an opportunity to have more dialogue with him hopefully.

Hardy har har - Mathew is sexilicious and sweet. What’s better he’s attached to the studly Scott8424. They make a visit to Tennessee seem worth it!

Hlee - older gentleman who writes as though he is remembering a fond or meaningful interaction from an era long since past. It is an interesting style. What I love most about his entries are his photographs, which always cause me to take pause and just take them in.

Hypertwink - is a HUGE tv/film fan. I have not seen a grown man as knowledgeable about shows and the people in them in a long time. He should move to Hollywood…it would absolutely bring him to orgasm. Cool guy.

I will byte you - doesn’t post often and frankly has a philosophy about internet relationships that is completely juxtaposed to my own. Even so, he is open and honest when he does post, and I like that.

Impartial - a nice if not sometimes over-serious young man. But I have always liked his posts and comments, though they have been really infrequent. In fact, the only thing on his journal now is a rather disturbing account about a recent altercation with the police.

Inlogan - sexy as *$*%…nice as sugar and spice, and (my favorite) a read of his entries shows that he is very appreciative of the “moments” of life. He makes me want to go to the park, meet a friend for coffee, etc…because I forget how rich those experiences are.

Instynct - Posts frequently about his life and how his circumstances affect him. Seems down more often than not these days. I should comment more to his journal about gaining perspective in tough times.

Italiangm - Another “non-traditionally aged” journaler like myself. Most often commenting on political issues. I suggest reading his journal for politically relevant items that you might miss just by relying on your basic Planet Out or Democratic Underground type websites, which suffer from the myopia of their own agendas.

Izzyoreknot - posts about as often as I do (which is to say in spurts). Occasionally shares what’s going on in life, but the wealth of his journal is devoted to his photographs, which I really enjoy.

Jackmercury - To my knowledge, my only transgendered LJ friend. Entries tend to be short (couple sentences), but usually concern topic I don’t typically muse on. So, I enjoy the mental change of direction his addition to my friends list brings.

Jared8 - Relatively newer friend. Young guy with a lot on his mind. Changes moods a lot too, I think. I need to comment more in his journal because his is one I really do enjoy reading.

Jayessence - rare poster. Mostly movie synopsis/reviews.

Jaytee3 - Very edgy/hip posts. A tinge of almost-anger, but not quite. Take Dilbert and give it a South Park vibe and you’ve got this LJ, in my admittedly amateurish opinion.

Jdhorner - Read his bio, it’s a good descrip of his journal’s vibe. Right up my alley, really. Which makes it good he is in Boston and monogamously coupled…cuz, he’d break my little heart, I think. Lol Recently had a moderate bump in the road that involved a pretty innocent kiss at a party. Like all strong couples, they worked it through. But it did serve to remind me why Im so thankful for the open nature of Scott’s and my relationship that makes petty jealousies over natural boy inclinations a non-existant problem.

Jimmybobob79 - a recent addition. Very sanitized journal. But I’m holding on because I just no there is some juicy bad-boy stuff waiting to come out in this cutie’s journal.

Jimmyg1226 - Okay the obvious first point is that he is extremely gorgeous. But what you have to take the time to read his journal to discover is that he is an extremely rare find (particularly given the combination of his age, location and looks) when it comes to the depth and heart this guy possesses, not to mention his intelligence and drive. One of those people who lives such a different life than you that you know you will never cross paths, but whom you really root for and believe the best about. I’m glad he posts here.

Jimmymontrose - you gotta check this guy’s journal out. I am not vintage enough, musically aware enough, or just hip and edgy enough to describe what you get with this. I enjoy reading this journal because its like looking into a really incredible salt water fish tank and thinking, “God, it would be cool to live like that…but I don’t have the slightest idea where to start”.

Jordan1981 - goes through spurts in his posts. Has been active lately. I think he’s the only friend I have from Alabama. He is a truly beautiful soul who deals a lot with anger and other downer issues. His range of emotions is wide, though, and it is really warming to see him post about something he really enjoys…which is mostly his bf, Skot.

Joshk152 - used to post quite frequently, but has become more intermittent. Young, professionally minded, into his home and his friends. Cute with a boyfriend (much to atwood’s dismay lol) and generally happy and content. One of those guys where I wonder if even though I would want to be good friends with them, if my non-traditional lifestyle would make them a little hesitant to do the same. (shrug)

Juandaveed - Another Hotlanta Boy. What can I say, I really enjoy his journal and his subtle but strong sexual energy that laces through it. What’s funny is that you’d get the impression he was in his mid-twenties just by reading his entries (nothing conrete…just the vibe you’d get). He’s actually in his 30’s, which for some reason I think just makes the whole package that much more interesting. DEFINITELY a reason to visit Atlanta soon.

Jwpierceall - An attorney (D.A. I think) who posts often about his professional life. It is like a reality show and The Practice mixed together. I enjoy it. Not sure what he looks like, but it is clear he has a bit of a muscle fetish…so perhaps he is too. He’s got a man but I don’t think they live together.

Kaleden - Very recent addition, met through Raginmage. He is in Oregon but gets down here to Orange County every so often. Cute college guy who I am gathering is at least somewhat into the leather community, which definitely intrigues me about him. His posts are comical in a subtle way, and I confess to my hopes of getting to know him better and maybe even meeting him on one of his OC trips.

Kebmo2 - Kevin Kevin Kevin. What can I say. I love this man. And I can say that I know him more intimately than any of my other LJ friends, to say the least. He has come out this way a couple times for business and pleasure, and I have thoroughly enjoyed his visits each time. What originally drew me to him was the quality of his entries (though they are as rare as my own) and the fact that our life experiences are so uncannily similar. In my opinion, not enough people are reading his journal. It is a quality find…and so is he.

Okay, that is the second group of 30….part 3 coming soon!
