(no subject)
This was my first Christmas away from home but it was alright. It was different being in cold weather for it, but I kinda like it that way. Mom and Auntie called and we talked for a while. I got their packages Thursday, they were really nice and very welcome. Mom sent me a scarf she knit herself; I had no clue she even knew how to knit! She also gave me a new mp3 player (my other one was pretty old and worn out), a book of Chinese poetry from the Sung dynatsy, and more money for expenses. ^-^ Auntie sent lots of chocolates, among other things. ^_^
I know New Year's is big in Japan, it'll be nice to experience it first person! I've heard a lot about it so I'm getting excited.
