(no subject)
SO my mom officially freaked me out yesterday. See, I still haven't gotten my passport, because of the whole crappy government website, so my mom was all "you really need to get it. You only have 6 weeks" And I was like "6 weeks?!?!?! I leave in 6 WEEKS!?! That's freaking awesome!" Which is also cool because that means in 9 weeks it will be summer. At least for me. But it is also not cool because there is no way that I have enough money to go to England for 3 weeks. A google search tells me that the exchange rate at this moment is.. $1 canadian = 0.43 British Pounds. Or, for the mathematically challenged, like me, in order to have about $1000 pounds, I will need to have $2322.91 Canadian. Right now, I have $806. I need to make $1500 in about....oh 3 paychecks. Hopefully my family will have pity on me and give me money for my birthday (which is 3 days before we leave!) And hopefully I can work a lot of hours at Ghettobucks until then, and make lots of money.
I work the finals for the Brier today. It is my 3rd-last shift at Rexall. I am pretty sad to be leaving, I mean, it's a fun job and I like the fact that I get to watch free hockey (when there is hockey, and free concerts (except for the part where people try to light me on fire and throw beer at each other), and I will miss my friends. Sharaya and Glenna I went to high school with, but never see, Lisa, Amanda, Crystal, Ashley, Dave from South Info, and the new kid I met, Kyle, are all great people that I will miss, but I know for sure that I will NOT miss my $6.75 paycheck, which might I add, is lower than the new proposed minimum wage, so yeah, I won't miss that. Oh well.
