(no subject)
Aaagh. So far behind in this journal I really don't even know what to say. So maybe I don't even try for any backstory and just move on from here.
What's going on in my pretty darn happy most of the time but a little lacking in excitement life? Well, not a heck of a lot. Have gotten back in to the swing of things at work post-vacation although I haven't really been altogether focused lately (hence too much time spent on line). I really have to get my ass in gear and finish up my current project so I can move on to something new - I always get almost to the end of a project and instead of being energized, I just get bored.
Bea is smashingly wonderful as usual. I just really can't believe how much I adore her (although she does certainly have her, uh, interesting moments). I mean, I always wanted to be a mommy and love kids, but have never been so totally captivated by a child. And, wow, am I a Mama Bear when someone is even coming close to bothering my baby!
We started swimming lessons with her a few weeks ago. At first, she was fairly tentative, but now she LOVES the water. We're trying to take her swimming a couple of times a week in addition to the lesson - we get a little exercise, she gets to play, and she's tired out and goes to bed without complaining. We met once nice couple and their little boy at the class and are hoping to get together with them as a way to start making some new friends around here.
