Leaking house...
Woken up this morning to help deal with water dripping into our mud room. Fortunately Josh had found it before I woke up and he and Kris had the mess mostly cleaned up before I was really conscious.
I then spent an hour or two tracking down the leak. It was coming into the mud room through the overhead light fixture. You have to realize that the mud room is several feet in from any exterior wall of the house, and fifteen or so feet down from the roof. There was no sign of water on the floor above, and when I took the mud room fixture out, the ceiling around it was completely dry.
Eventually we just figured it was time to look in the attic. I was psyched to take advantage of having a teenager to do the crawling for me, but when I stuck my head up, I could see the drip, so I just took some pictures of it myself. Coming in at about 3 drops per minute, near the wiring for some lighting, so clearly it had been getting down to the mud room by dripping along the wires.
