It's only the (U.S.) Department of Homeland Security that's declaring this "National Cybersecurity Awareness Month" (needless to say).

In response to a reader observing that October had been "breast cancer awareness month" for more than a quarter-century, he also pointed out that "breast cancer awareness will save a lot more lives."
