Yawn..... So tired recently.
For the past couple of nights there's been quite a few gatherings. And on Friday night, also the day of the "Summer Ball", Hassen, Nacho, Darren, Antoine and Dave brought out the Decks, the CD decks and some funky keyboard just for fun. Think we had like 6 speakers in total, two next door and the rest in Dave's kitchen.
Hassen got the BBQ set up outside , alot of people from the blocks were sat on the grass drinking beer... then more and more turned out and it just became a massive NEWI festival haha. It was quite funny seeing all the people going to the ball on such a hot day when they could just chill outside with a few beers....at no cost.
Later on was pretty amazing, the two Julien's did some firebreathing and Matt was circling on his unicycle with his Sonic the hedgehog things lol also on fire. Was almost as good as leeds, no shit! There was also some watergun sniping and Julien got soaked.
Later on quite alot of people joined us from the ball and it carried on till about 5am. The Polish were loving the music and created dancefloor outside. Rich even did some MC'in and it was fantastic, I knew he did it, he asked me ages ago if Dave needed anyone and nothing had been done since, but yeh it was amazing. Quite funny cos Luc tried and he was crap.
It was good for theguys to get used to one another mixing, specially for tonight. As they've all got their different styles of mixing and their favourite records.
Tonight London Elektricity are performing at Central Station, which should be pretty amazing, it's live Drum and Bass, and I've got real appreciation for that, Dave's seen them before and he said it's almost unreal.
Dave, Hassen, Nacho and Darren are all helping out by doing warm up sets and also mixing afterwards. Which will be good publicity for all of them but most importantly a good laugh :)
Last night was a mini BBQ and more mixing. I was fucked by 3am and went to bed.
Only to be woken by the return of Sam and her noisy companions. Grrrrrrrrr. I fucking hate being woken up. There is no respect in this flat whatsoever sometimes..
Next week I'll be going in to Uni and helping out Char to put up her degree show, which Ive heard is an installation, so it should be pretty easy to do. Just hope it doesnt take too long as I'm out of here after that!
Today was meant to be "Dave and Nikki" day (his idea lol) But we both woke up too late to do anything. I told Dave to go and have a mix and get ready for tonight.
Ergh I feel groggy and sleepy still.. gona grab a nice shower and make myself all prettyful in a bit.
