The world is absolutely falling apart. People have lost all of their sensitivity and compassion. Nobody cares about anyone. The golden rule is a tarnished piece of scrap metal. People are racist, classist, ageist, sexist, and any other -ist that you can think of

and youre right about all of that. people just dont seem to care about other people like they should. it reminds me of the time i overheard this kid takling about how muvh he hates gay people and just going on and on at the bus stop like its tottally normal and ok, like everybody should hate them too and probably did. i think he even said he would shoot a gay person(it may have been that he would beat them up, it was awhile ago and im try not to let those things stick with me too much)i almost cried and the whole time i wanted to trun aeound and scream at him to shut his stupid ignorant mouth. but i didnt because i didnt know how hed react and would it even change anything?

i like to think that things will change, eventually people will get that caring about other people and being friendly and courtious in the very least makes life more pleasant.

toughening up is good i guess becasue you have to be able to continiue to have a good day when you see something like that, just for your own well being. the best thing i think a person can do as an individual is be an example of what they want to see in other people and live thier life and be happy and wait for everybody else to come around.

so keep holding doors and saying please and thank you and caring about other people and maybe it will rub off on someone and make the world at least a little better.
