First my ass gets served over the desk and then I nearly lose my head to a swinging axe, I don't remember signing up for Indiana Jones try outs. I slowly stood and gazed at the axe in her hand, granted if she hit me with it I'd bleed for a bit, but then? Nothing. I'm immortal, she just doesn't get that or know that, either way I don't care. I ( Read more... )

I glanced down at the slice of flesh she'd managed to get to, blood running down my pale skin. I returned my eyes to her and smiled calmly before reaching out and locking my arm around the wrist of her hand holding the axe. I bent her arm, overpowering her, and brought the blade of the axe around to my face. I focused on the blood there, with a grip of death on her arm, my tongue snaked out and licked the blood from the blade in a small section. The color in her face drained but then she managed to send me across the room once more, landing on my ass with a laugh.

"I much prefer you spending your mortal life in little tiny pieces." I whispered harshly before making my way back over to her, lines of energy from our little touchy feely session, still bursting around me. I wanted to wrap my arms around her and make her forget her name, make her realize she has one person to serve in this world. Her Immortal maker. Me. I struck her square in the chest and she fell down hard, I wasted no time straddling her prone body. I set my fingers around her throat and pushed down slightly as I lowered my mouth to her ear.

"You. Killed. Her." I said softly, letting my teeth nip her earlobe before sitting up to see her face. "Tell me why I should help someone that took a fellow Slayer away? That's like a bird eating chicken. It's a betrayal of species. You don't eat your own kinds, you don't sell them short."

God damn! This girl took a licking and kept on a tickin'! I was impressed, kneecaps hurt but still, impressed. I stood up and smiled at her as she let her rage unleash, she was such a pretty flaming red color. Her angry little soul that I could still taste in my mouth like the richest of chocolates. She went to swing the axe again and my hand caught it, shattering the wood and melting the blade. I gave her a sweet innocent smile and punched her directly in her face, making sure I heard her pretty little nose crack. She'd have to get that done... again.

"You're so much prettier when you let your rage come out, don't you know?" I wiped at my still bleeding nose and stepped one step closer to her. She was holding out on the not having killed Faith thing, perhaps she would keep doing that. She was loyal, that's a good thing. I can respect that. "So you didn't kill her, but he did." I nodded toward the office where Angelus lay. "And you want to bring him back for what? You gonna stake him for killing her because let me tell you, if that's the plan I'll help you. If you want me to help bring him back so you can be all boo-hooey make love to me I love you bullshit, forget it."

I turned and looked over my shoulder at her. We'd see how desperate she is, how willing she is to go through all of this to save him. If she came at me again, I knew I was at the point of giving in just to keep her off of me. A girl had to enjoy her high sometime, didn't she know?

I watched as she strolled casually up to me and asked me seriously if I was going to help once again. I looked her over for a minute before looking directly in her eyes. I stepped back from her and glanced down at myself, we were both bloodied and pretty much at a dead end. What would it honestly hurt if I did help? It means Angelus would be out of my hair and on Angel's leash. It meant Angel would be grieving for the rest of his unnatural life, this could work out in the long run for me.

"Yeah. Fine." I said with a shrug as we continued to size one another up just in case, waiting for someone to call bluff and attack. A few minutes went by and she didn't attack... I didn't attack. Okay, this looked like a truce. I held my arm out, letting her lead the way to the room where Angelus lay. The others just kind of stood around nervously looking at me, looking at her.

"Look, I got shit to do. Let's get this done with." I looked around the room and wondered if they even had the shit they needed. Oh god. Amateurs.
