Always Here To Listen

Clint Barton and Natasha Romanoff, two of the world's greatest killers, just got home to the Avengers tower after a long mission. They had the weekend off so they thought it's be nice to spend it together. Clint offerred to take Tasha out for dinner, which she instantly accepted -- she loved it when he did that, because it saved her from having to cook, and it wasn't a pretty sight to see what she could come up with in the kitchen.

The two were getting ready on the Saturday evening and Natasha went in to the bathroom to put on some make-up. Her partner was left alone to put on his suit. He took his hearing aid out of his ear for literally just a minute and put it on the table. He quickly went to put on his shoes but when he got back, his aid wasn't there. Now was a good time to panic, as Natasha didn't know. She had no idea that the archer couldn't hear most of the time.

He threw up books, cushions and papers, yet still he couldn't find it. Well, this was embarrassing. He hadn't much time as Natasha was rather quick. She'd be out of the bathroom any minute, and if she found out he thought she'd kill him for not telling her. So he ran around the table, frantically searching for the device through which he could hear his partner's sweet(although sometimes sarcastic) voice. He needed it, and he needed it now.

'Looking for something?' She was close enough from Clint to make out what she was saying. He jumped up from the floor and turned around to see her holding up his hearing aid. He stood there, as if dumbfounded, not sure what to say. And as if that wasn't enough, Natasha's dress was a little... too distracting. Eventually, after a moment of silence he broke the ice.

'How did you know?' He asked quietly, with obvious shame in his voice. Tasha gave him the look - you never knew what it meant. Her eyebrow was raised up, her eyes wide, yet a soft-looking smirk pulled up on her face.

'I'm a spy, Clint.' She walked up to him slowly, put the air in his ear and kissed him on the forehead.

'I'm sorry,' His voice almost broke.

'It's okay,' Natasha smiled. 'I understand.' She did.

She took his hand with hers and gestured to the door with the other. This is what Clnt loved about her - For a master assassin, she had a kind heart.
