Nov 22, 2013 18:27

Hello dearest bar! It's that time of the week! Are you ready to have some fun here? Today we should discuss (and if you choose, do) some personality tests. You know, those quizzy type of things that usually tell you what kind of bookshelf you are (messy, fancy, pretty... okay, I'm kidding), or give you some kind of profile, telling you about your ( Read more... )

this is the very best bar, all the things friday, polite anarchy needs a tag

"I am an introvert who occasionally enjoys a party or loud going out, up to a certain point. My true love are books and music + headphones."

This is me EXACTLY!!! I am always listening to music on my headphones from the time I got my first pair at around age 8. My mom always wondered why I listened on headphones instead of just playing music on speaker. That's too open with other people around, haha.

What do you think of your Slytherin category? Why do you think you were placed there?

An essay on Slytherin and why I like it. anuna_81 November 22 2013, 21:39:41 UTC
Oh man your headphones thing, THAT IS SO ME AS WELL. Music on headphones is so intimate and close and JUST MINE TO HAVE. Every little sound. I can hide inside it and I LOVE that. I love hiding inside my music ( ... )

Wow, I'm glad you wrote me an essay, that was a very insightful read...both about Slytherins and yourself! I think JK Rowling could benefit from reading that essay, some of her comments about Slytherins in the past rubbed me the wrong way, although she has gotten better (haha, I love how serious we are about this).

Snape is absolutely my favorite character in HP (and Loki's emerald green robes and cunning always remind me of Slytherin, one of my favorite characters from MCU)...but I scored very low in Slytherin on that test myself. So I guess I'm a fan but an outsider. ;) I think I am too "middle-of-the-road", easy-going to have the passion necessary of a Slytherin.

1: INTJ [Not sure about it.]
2: melancholic [100% true .____.]
3: Hufflepuff [Yaaaaaaaaaay, my favorite house. :33]
4: Shy Secretive Soul [Yup, true. My suggestions were Spider, Opossum, Lady Bug, Snake. I'd take the Opossum or Lady Bug. No Spider or Snake. ^^]

I need to search more about it. :o) I'm in a hurry right now. (I'll come back to you later then. ^^)

... and Slytherin would be my second house. :o) But luckily (!) I got Hufflepuff. :33 My favorite. *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee* [And I did lots of test with this result. ;D Only one time I got Gryffindor. (Maybe because of my feelings. I guess lots of answers would change if I'd feel different in that situation. But I never got Slytherin. ^^)]

DO I SEE VALA MAL DORAN ON YOUR ICON. :DDDDD (That would ne a savvy slytherin person!)

I gotta ask why you dread Slytherin though - is it because JKR made almost all of them into bad/morally ambiguous characters, or you don't like the associated traits? (I mean, traits are pretty good - cunning, smart, practical, picks his/hers fights, is loyal...?)

I got Choleric for the four temperaments test. Which, yeah, true in both the energy/ passion sense but also the grumpy sense. :P

I haven't seen the daemon test before, so thanks for posting :). I got Independent Soul with "suggested forms: Peregrine Falcon, Snowy Owl, Snow Leopard, Siberian Tiger, Osprey."

All of those options seem awesome, I can't choose between them.

I know, right? An owl who can fly and see at night, a TIGER? So happy with that result :)

Yesss. All good possibilities. I think Clint, with years of his experience in the service, knows the advantages of not looking too weird on psych evals. I also think that whoever evaluated them should be able to go beyond standard tests and create opportunities to observe how they act.

Natasha might have even try to appear very average and not stand out? A spy shouldn't stand out. I just know it would be a tricky thing, if not a nightmare, to evaluate two of them. (I even poked at that in a fic which I should continue and finish).

I don't have a great handle on these characters, but I wonder...exactly how "messed up" are they? I know in some fics it ranges from extremely so to eh, they had a bad past and kill for a living, but are regular joes.

So anyway, I think that might determine whether or not they feel the need to trick a psych eval. I think Clint's isn't TOO different from a lot of people in SHIELD (judging by AoS), but of course Natasha's is extremely unique. Even so, not sure if they feel like they would have to lie or be more like "this is how I am. Take it or leave it." Now of course if that means extra sessions with a shrink, I could def. see them answering in a way to reduce the number.

I think Natasha's first few years at SHIELD must have been pretty intensive with the psych department though. And maybe Clint's too, for bringing her in lol.
