HOMG you have no idea how big I'm grinning right now! This is the best kind of surprise - I know you sent me a message anon about there being fic, but I'd honestly forgotten. And this - this is so lovely and rich and cross-over-y and angsty and wow does it ever fit with the wallpapers!

(I may or may not have squeaked when Eliot showed up in the plot. Pics or it didn't happen, yanno?)

Nat started talking at me a couple days after the fill deadline and then I couldn't resist the crossover because I'd just watched the finale and *feels*.

They're all still sort of there in my head. It's just a matter of whether I can get it onto paper or not.

*jumps up and down* I LOVE the idea that all of Renner's past roles were just Clint undercover, and now there is glorious wonderful fic :D and oh snap, Clint was programmed like Natasha was to be Aaron Cross- did not see that twist coming, I like it! So much potential angst when he returns to Clint.... this fic is awesome!! if you do decide to continue it, which I hope you do, I will be right there with cheers, props, cookies, drinks, Renner youtube videos- whatever you need ;)

Thanks - the idea of Renner's roles as Clint's past came from one of the discussions in this lovely bar. :)

I couldn't resist the programming angle because its so much of the Bourne story to start with and we know SHIELD has a past with it.

I know I've left myself a lot of places to go with this. We'll just have to see if the muse cooperates.

I love the crossovers with Leverage, because that show is/was just awesome! And of course all of Renner's roles were just Clint undercover :D But seriously, this was really well done and I am looking forward to reading more in this verse :D

More than anything in this story, I adored the acknowledgement of the collateral emotional damage caused by the grand machinations of duty and politics.
