Avengers Movie Timeline

I posted this on tumblr about a week ago and kept forgetting to post it here as well. I made it halfway thorugh my week of watching the Avengers every single day for 7 days straight. (Thank god it was on the plane on my flight out here!)

The timeline is about the movie in general, but Natasha was one of the main reasons I made it. Namely to answer

Okay, okay, so... do we know where exactly the Helicarrier was hovering when they spotted Loki? 'Cause, yeah, six hours min between US and Germany, I think I broke my brain trying to make that math work.

We don't know precisely, but later when the carrier is crashing you can see maps on some of the screens Fury is looking at and they look like the show Manhattan. So I assume they haven't moved too far from near there.

This is awesome. While I've seen arguments for the sequence of events lasting more than a few days, I like the idea of seeing how compressed it could possibly be.

(A question: do we know for certain in what state Project Pegasus is supposed to be located?)

I thought it was supposed to be somewhere in Arizona or New Mexico? It's in the middle of the American desert....

That was my assumption, too, somewhere southwest and desert-y. Though I don't recall if we ever got more than that implication. (Clearly I haven't seen the film enough times. BAD FAN! :D )

I thought at first it was somewhere out in the desert, too. But I looked it up on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Pegasus) and apparently it's somewhere in the Adirondacks. So that definitely made things easier!!
