So officially tomorrow is my third week of classes...it's going by really fast actually. I thought that I would be so stressed out in college, but the funny thing is I'm really relaxed and laid back...exactly the way I like things. I was more crazy in high school then I am now when it's suppose to be harder work and stuff. My head is so much more clearer down here than back home. Don't get me wrong though I do miss home now and then. It was just so familiar...but I needed the experience of being away. Maybe I was suppose to live in the south...or was southern in a previous life or something.
Anyway I've definitely started making some friends down here which is cool. I love southern people...they're so damn nice. I made two guy friends from the cafeteria where I eat...they live in a dorm that isn't far from mine...they're really cool. And then my roomates are absolutely amazing...the whole roomate thing was probably the thing that scared me the most but have no fear anymore. I have two roomates that live in NC originally(Ashton and Marcy) which are the roomates I hang out the most with. The other roomate isn't really around all that often...I think I saw her once in this whole last week. Granted she doesn't really like it here and misses home I guess...but she's become totally anti-social...it's kinda sad though.
Anyway today we did a roomate bonding thing. Me, Marcy, Ashton and Marcy's friend Brittany who's really cool, we all went to a minor league baseball game for the Charlotte Knights. The field is actually in South Carolina so that was a bit strange but we had fun. The gave out thundersticks which Ashton and Marcy used as weapons to beat each other up which was funny...and we took pictures together and stuff. A real bonding moment. We had some good laughs and definitely plan to keep going out together. We want to go to the zoo and other things like movie night and other games around town I think. They are seriously like some of the nicest and coolest people I've ever had the pleasure of hanging out with and being friends with. All the people that I left in Weymouth made my life alot better...but I mean there are still people that I love and care for as my friends still at home...you know who you are. Also today we made a poster and construction paper letter names on the outside of our door to make it look cooler and so people in our building know who we are...it was cute and another bonding thing. I don't think I've ever met people with such a strong effort to make you feel like a family in your dorm...it's really awesome!!
So yeah that's basically what's been happening...classes are classes and work is work but it's the other things that make college great. It's hard to meet better people than my roomates though...Yeah Cypress!! Niner Girls!!
