This is my new toy.

So far I love it. Frustration is present of course, but at the same time I have never delt with something that had more than an octive's range. This is a 12/11 2 and a half octive range. Meaning 12 strings on the Treble bridge and 11 on the bass. I got to learn what rotating 4ths means (pain in ass). Basically to do scales I am jumping from one side of the treble bridge to the other and back again. At least for the Keys of G and D I havn't messed with the others yet. I did notice that C is going to hurt me. It seems to want to go diagonally from one corner of the instrument to the other. Ick, that was a good time to stop. I learned twinkle twinkle little star =P

Bill got his Panpipes yesterday, he was so cute. He was very very excited, apparently he spent three hours before work playing with it. He makes interesting faces when a note frustrates him. It sounds wonderful but I didn't realize how loud they are.

So I'm sure our neighbors are going to love us now, though we deal with their TV and running kids at all hours so nope, no guilt here. Besides I doubt that it is going to bother anyone unless they are next to the windows in any case.

it will be interesting when conpetence sets in, especially if dan keeps up with his Mandolin. This could be a lot of fun XD
